In this week’s episode…

Michael, Michael, and Matt are all working from their respective homes today. Michael and Matt discuss about how many email accounts do you really need on your iPhone, while discussing Michael’s first iPhone application and the release of the SDK beta 2. Is Apple trying to take over all of your media with the latest of Apple patents? Is Microsoft trying to jump on the iPhone bandwagon? After all of these announcements, we’ve decided to finally setup our Dogear-Nation email address. Drop us a line at dogearnation@gmail.com . Also, if you want an invite to Evernote, drop us a note at dogearnation@gmail.com for a beta invite.

Simplicity + Maximum Verbosity

Matt and Michael M ensure that the show goes on, despite Michael R’s illness — sending good wishes to our missing co-host with a slightly longer than usual episode, Matt and Michael talk about the beauty of simplicity, both in software and hardware products, reminisce about Dungeons and Dragons and discuss the grand sport of peep jousting . When things just work, it’s a beautiful thing. Matt is slowly breaking down, calling an iPhone “seductive” and actually tagging links with the device that must not be named. Could we be going 3 for 3 in the Dogear Nation host to iPhone ratio? Time will tell. In any case, pay attention to Matt’s final thought and backup your hard drive. You’ll be glad you did!

Well, I’ve been having lots of discussions within the Dogear-Nation team about getting our show up on a more consistent basis, but this week, I’ll take the hit. We did not record today, as I am fighting a very bad winter cold, Michael M. is traveling and Matt is overloaded with his day job. We will be BACK next week.
