Michael and Michael welcome our new “official” co-host – Andy Piper, and then end up having to move the recording time this week to way too late in the evening. So hopefully Andy will be joining us next week. This week’s show has a great set of listener tags. We look at the revival of Second Life (really??), new technology in Forterra, a new Virtual World in Australia, out of body experiences in Sweden, and a finish off our Obligatory 3D internet section with a really big beer! As we move over to the Social Networking section, Duckboxxer helps us see ads on Twitter, while Twitter turns down a rumored $500m deal from Facebook, we learn what we don’t know about language immersion from cynicalicious while Pownce gets pwned when they are purchased by Six Apart, and we resolve with the real value of the Re-Tweet. Our Mac-a-rooni section begins with Vista users begging Microsoft not to make Windows 7 easy to user over the expense of power and functionality, Kevinaires sends us a link to a cool iPhone holder, and Matt Goerning taking on Apple users and Steve Jobs.

Michael Rowe gives a quick rundown of Virtual Worlds 2007 conference. With about 1,200 attendees this was THE conference to be at this past week around virtual Worlds. Almost all the big name virtual world vendors and tool providers had booths, while three tracks kept attendees asking and answering questions around the metaverse.
