While Andy is in Australia at linux.conf.au , and Michael R is in San Francisco at MacWorld, this week’s show is more of a discussion between Michael M and special guest Kirk Nelson.  Starting with the breaking news on Egypt’s unplugging of the Internet, Michael and Kirk say “like” almost as much as a 1980’s valley girl, debating the pros and cons of pressing that little ‘like’ button.  The discussion on Kindle lending prompts them to consider whether the Kindle lending library process could be (should be?) extended to other forms of media, such as music and video.  Kirk shares some interesting use cases for his iPad, including using a compass on the screen while sailing, and his success in truly going paperless.

Michael M, on behalf of his co-hosts, hopes you “like” this departure from the usual show format, “like” Dogear Nation on Facebook and lend us your tags for next week’s episode.
